China and Portugal Sign Tourism Cooperation Agreement

China and Portugal have signed an agreement in Lisbon to enhance cooperation in tourism between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Shao Qiwei, the head of the National Tourism Administration of China, and Bernardo Trindade, secretary of Portugal's State Bureau for Tourism in the presence of Chinese President Hu Jintao and the Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Socrates.
After signing the agreement, the two countries will further expand the potential for cooperation between the two sides by enhancening cooperation on increasing tourism investment, education, training, and promotion.
Shao said that the signing of the agreement will greatly strengthen exchanges of visits, expand people-to-people contacts and deepen the understanding and friendship between the China and Portugal.
