Day 2 Yinchuan (B, L)

Yinchuan (B, L)

Sightseeing: Sand Lake, Western Xia Film and Television City, Western Xia Mausoleum

Morning transfer to the Sand Lake for relaxation. This lake covers more than 80 square kilometers and the area is composed of sands, water and hills.

Afterwards, you will visit the Oriental Pyramid - Western Xia Mausoleum. The mausoleum are a well-known travel site. It is located at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain, close to Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, measuring 10 kilometers north to south, 4 kilometers east to west; the mausoleum contains the tombs of emperors of the Western Xia. There are eight tumuli and over 70 annex tombs in this area.

Then visit the Western Xia Film and Television City, where 60 movies have been made since the 1980s. China West Film Studio, known as the Western Film and Television City, is located in the northwest of Yinchuan City. Since the 1980s more than eighty movies have been filmed in the China West Film Studio. China West Film Studio is the very best choice of location base to shoot Western China and Ancient China theme movies' outdoor scene...

Then, we will drive back to Yinchuan.

Day 3 Yinchuan / Zhongwei (B, L)

Yinchuan / Zhongwei (B, L)

Transfer via: Private vehicle on our arrangement
Sightseeing: 108 Pagodas, Shapotou Scenic Spot

On the way to Zhongwei, visit 108 Pagodas. Enjoy the beautiful Shapotou Scenic Spot in Zhongwei County. Shapotou, a city lying in southeast Tengger Desert, is the transition band of Tengger Desert and Grassland. It is listed as one of China's 10 most beautiful scenic spots in 2004. What makes Shapotou distinguished is that it's a desert, but you can also see green land while enjoying the fantastic view of the golden sand sea on a camel. Riding camels through the Tengger Desert is no doubt a good choice for travelers. You'll feel as if you are a native nomad and bathe in the casual and romantic atmosphere. If you'd like something more exciting, try the sand rafting. Sitting on the sand raft and slipping from the top of the desert slope, which is about 100 meters high, will no doubt bring you the most unparallel experience in the world. Because of the special geographical environment and geological structure, the bottom of the sand raft will produce a strange sound called "golden sands striking the bell" by local people.

Tonight we will camp in desert.

Day 4 Zhongwei / Yinchuan (B, L)

Zhongwei / Yinchuan (B, L)

Sightseeing: Nanguan Mosque, Ningxia Museum, Haibao Pagoda

The Nanguan Mosque has a history of hundreds of years. It was destroyed by wars several times. Since 1949, with the help of the government, it has undergone several repairs. In 1981, the Muslims in Ningxia area raised funds for the reconstruction. The mosque covers an area of about 10,100 square meters, and the construction area is more than 2,000 square meters. The main hall is 26 meters high. The second floor of the main hall can accommodate 1,300 people. There are bathrooms, worship halls, women's worship halls, the imam's dorm, and reception rooms, etc., in the first floor. There is one large and four small domes on the top of the main hall. Two minarets of 30 meters high stand on both sides of the main hall, and a fountain with 15 meters in diameter in the center of the courtyard. The whole building complex has compact layout, magnificent decorations.

Then we will move on to Ningxia Museum. Housed in Chengtian Temple in the old part of Yinchuan, the museum has a collection of nearly 10,000 cultural artifacts. The 1,000 objects on display are of high historical and cultural value.

Finally, we will visit Haibao Pagoda. A 53.9-metre-high 11-floor pavilion like brick structure with a history of 1,500 years, HaibaoPagoda is the city emblem of Yinchuan. A wooden stairway inside the pagoda conducts to the 9th floor for a look at the city's landscape.

Thank you again for all your excellent work. I look forward to visiting you in your home town for our first Tibet tour in August 2020.

China Silk Road Tour

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for a great first tour together. I appreciate that it was a big commitment for you to be away from your office & family for such a long time. I know you would have missed your young son a lot. I am also very grateful for your huge personal effort that you put into the detailed planning.

The local guides were all great - Sally, Amanda & Benny. Regarding the itinerary, I think we have an excellent itinerary for the beginning and the end, but the middle of the tour needs to be changed.

Thank you again for all your excellent work. I look forward to visiting you in your home town for our first Tibet tour in August 2020. Jo & I might travel up one day ahead of the group to meet you and have dinner with you.

Best regards,

Brod

We enjoyed our guides, the food, and the hotels.

Thank you for all of your help in putting together this trip.

Best,

Jayne

“By accident” we get contact with visitourchina. It has been one of the best trips we ever had, we’ve learned very much of this part of China, enjoying the people we’ve met and with who we’ve got contact. It give us a real view of Chinese people and community and for us, a new world opened. A very good society, well organised, Nanning very good organised concerning environment and climate.

Dear friends of visitourchina,

We went to visit Nanning between April 28th and May 3rd 2019 with my wife and my daughter.

For us, it would be the first visit to China and we needed some support to organise this as I wanted to organise it all by myself (hotel, plane, visa, …). But as I was organising everything I felt the need of some extra support and help from people of China (for instance English talking guide, English talking organiser in China to take us around in a personal tour).

“By accident” we get contact with visitourchina. And they “give” us Molly Mo as contact person. It was a winning number from the lottery !

Molly took care of us like “a real mother” ! No question I’ve asked her, she answered them immediately with her advice and experience. Always in a very friendly and positive way, adding a human sense so we were even more longing to visit Nanning and it’s people. Molly organised our guide in Nanning, Wendy, who was TOP for us. Wendy took care of us, from early morning till evening with a very professional view on guiding adding a good human sense to her work. We were so good prepared we had one day on our own and we could fill in without problems.

So, we came back from Nanning after a too short stay with very positive feelings, hoping once more to visit China again.

We’re very grateful to Molly in the first place. She is the ideal person to represent Visitourchina. She take care of my many, many questions with a great heart, she had many patience with us and she never disappointed us, her answers give us the extra love for China and it’s people. Visitourchina must be happy with her.

It's a pity we couldn’t see her to transform our personal gratitude to her. Many, many, many thanks !

I hope this is not my least mail to you, I would miss our contacts,

Arnold en Rattana Demeyere

I must extend our thanks to you and the Tour Guide for this trip Peter. The trip was fun and informative.

Hi Stella,

I must extend our thanks to you and the Tour Guide for this trip Peter (Hope i didn't get his name wrong) .

The trip was fun and informative. Peter is extremely caring and helpful to all the guests who participated in this group trip to Mutianyu great wall & Ming Tombs tour. He made sure nobody was left out of left behind. He is very polite and attentive to our needs.

Peter also made sure we are safe, he was concerned about the distance if the guests could find their hotel or find their way back to their hotel. I must thank Peter for insisting to drop us near our hotel where we CAN see our hotel building at least.

I hope you can let Peter know that he's an awesome guide and the Americans and the rest of us had so much fun.

Best Regards,

Serene Zhou & Ernest
