Day 2 Harbin (B, L)

Harbin (B, L)

Sightseeing: Siberian Tiger Park, Sun Island Scenic Area, The Ice and Snow World

Today, you will visit Siberian Tiger Park. It is the largest felid in the world and is known as the King of the Forest. In the 1980s, it was listed as one of the first-class national protected animals of China.

Then continue to visit Sun Island Scenic Area, which lies on the north bank of the Songhua River and is a paradise for ice-snow travel in winter. The Sun Island Snow Sculptures is another highlight in your date time. Fanciful sculptures are made in the shapes of animals, plants, buildings etc. Some of the larger ones have included a crystalline ice bridge. It is an amazing ice and snow artwork.

In the evening, a spectacular banquet will be arranged for you! That is the Harbin Ice and Snow World. A key part of Harbin International Ice Festival, it is by far the largest ice and snow art exhibition in the world providing visitors with a good opportunity to appreciate a galaxy of unique ice and snow art. Harbin / Changchun (B, L)

Transfer via: by train for soft seat (arranged by us)
Sightseeing: Jilin Provincial Museum, Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State

In the morning, take fast train to Changchun. Arrive Changchun in late morning, be met and transferred to your hotel for checking in. The remainder day first visit the Jilin Provincial Museum. Built on the palace site of the late emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Jilin Provincial Museum exhibits historic and cultural relics from the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages through the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.

Then we will continue to visit the Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State. Although the history became the history, the Museum of Imperial Palace of Manchu State still reminds us of the darkness at that period. It was here that Puyi, the last emperor of China was installed as the nominal head of state by the Japanese. It is a series of buildings that are totally different from modern styles. The palace bears witness to the Japanese invasion of Dongbei (northeast part of China) and the royal tragedy of Puyi and his concubines.

-Shenyang Imperial Palace: It is the seat of power for Nurhachi & his son Huangtaiji before Qing Dynasty established. Built in 1625, the palace in Shenyang is one of two royal complexes existing in China today. Though much smaller than Forbidden City, the distinct architectural style of the palace is very charming and most halls are still in fine conditions.

-Museum of Zhang Xueliang Former Residence: It is the mansion of General Zhang Zuolin and General Zhang Xueliang (1901-2001, a very famous patriot of the Anti-Japanese War), father and son warlords, both have outstanding influence in China's Modern History. The house consists of a school room, garden, drawing room, and other areas erected in a mixture of Chinese, European and Japanese styles.

-Zhaoling Tomb (North Mausoleum): Construction on this 350-year-old structure began in 1643. Zhaoling Mausoleum combines both Manchu and Han architectural characteristics.

We are back home and I just wanted to send you a note and let you know again how pleased we were with the tour package that you put together for us. It was last minute and I realize this made things more difficult for you. Everything worked out so very well!

We are back home and I just wanted to send you a note and let you know again how pleased we were with the tour package that you put together for us.  It was last minute and I realize this made things more difficult for you.  Everything worked out so very well!

All of our guides were wonderful.  We wanted to send a special letter to let you know that we were most impressed with our last guide, Mr. Yak (Tserang).  He was with us for the Tiger Leaping Gorge hike and then in Shangri La.  He was the high light of our trip!  Mr. Yak was so very helpful, knowledgable about the culture and the area and he was tremendously thoughtful and professional.  Joe and I have traveled the world quite extensively and can say that Mr. Yak was one of the best guides we have ever experienced.

We certainly will reach out to you again when we are ready for our next trip to China.

Thank you,

Juliana Jamail

I really enjoyed my tour in Xian despite of the high temperature. The information provided by the guide was relevant from a historical point of view. She was kind and she tried to answer all my questions.

Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

Thank you very much for your letter, I really enjoyed my tour in Xian despite of the high temperature. In this context, it was helpful to have a transportation with air conditioning, thanks you also for the bottle of water, I suggest you to have the bottle of water cold and to keep them in an ice box.

I will certainly seek out your services
again and recommend your tour company to my family and friends.

Have a great day!

All our tours in Shanghai were great and the service was fantastic. And our Beijing tours was hit and miss a little bit.

Just a little feedback of our recent tours with you.
