An Expo-themed lecture was presented in Haikou, Hainan Province over the weekend, informing Hainan residents about the history of world expositions and the updates for next year's Expo.
In his lecture at the Hainan Library, Wu Jianzhong, director of the Shanghai Library, gave the audience a chance to savor the glamor of Expo exhibitions through a "preview visit" to the Expo site.
Wu, also counselor for the Expo's theme development, answered questions regarding the Expo's contributions to Shanghai's urban development, the opportunities it would create for Hainan, urban and rural interaction and its eco-friendly development model.
