As for the tour at Guilin and Daxu I was very satisfied with the tour, with Lily my guide & Mr. Wang the driver. Lily was very knowledgeable about the points of interest along the river, and about Daxu and the local Guilin area. She was pleasant company, and didn't let the cold wet weather dampen her enthusiasm. I have been to China so many times (this was my 15th visit). I do regret that I did not see the Local Guilin show on the 2nd night, but I was very tired as I had been up late in Hong Kong & Macau for 3 days before and felt I would probably just fall asleep in during the show. Maybe next time I will be able to see it. Even with the cold, rain & fog, I found the river cruise quite impressive with the various peaks emerging in & out of the fog. Even My wife was impressed with the photos I showed her on my return. I did not get a river-view room at the Bravo Hotel as was suggested, but I was given the option of the "better" wing of the hotel and since it was too foggy to see the river anyhow it was no problem. Personally, I would have preferred to see Elephant Trunk Hill rather than another Cavern. I have been in dozens of caverns & they all look alike. I told Lily that it was unnecessary for her to remain at the airport with me upon departure as it was several hours before the international gate opened and I was experienced enough with traveling in China to not need her assistance.
I have no complaints, I enjoyed the tour, Lily's commentary and company and seeing another part of beautiful China that I had not seen.
I am sorry I missed you on the evening of the 15th. Except for a walk I took around the lake and surrounding streets in the afternoon, I was at the hotel all evening. Perhaps I was at dinner. Thank you for the Tea Set gift, it is quite beautiful & my wife likes it. I hope I will be able to return to China later this year & stay a longer time. I have not decided on a time period yet, but I hate to waste a multiple entry Visa, so I will try to go again. I am running out of areas that I have not seen. Tibet perhaps or the northwest of China.

We had a good trip and there were no difficulties whatever. We loved Shanghai and Suzhou and the guide, Christina, was particularly helpful even though we chose to be on our own for much of the time in Shanghai.

I would not hesitate to recommend your services and will do that if any of my friends are going to China. I must comment that the lunches in Xi'an were better by far than those in Beijing. We were particularly unimpressed with the Hutong lunch. More accurately, we did not like it.
