China Further Develops Red Tourism

updated: 2010-07-08

With the proposal of the China National Red Tourism Coordinating & Leading Group Office and Yan'an Tourism Administration, 13 Chinese cities have signed a "China Red Tourism Cities Strategic Cooperation Yan'an Declaration" in Yan'an to develop red tourism.

The 13 cities include Guang'an, Yan'an, Xiangtan, Jinggangshan, Ruijin, Zunyi, Baise, Shijiazhuang, Linyi, Anyang, Yulin, Qingyang, and Huining. They will jointly promote the development of red tourism based on the principals of resource sharing, information exchange, product promotion, and win-win cooperation.

They have reached consensus on five aspects: jointly protecting red tourism resources; jointly developing red tourism boutique tourist routes; jointly building red tourism brands; jointly opening the red tourism market; and establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism.
