Xinhua, December 19, 2011

Singapore Airlines announced Saturday it has increased the number of flights it runs each week between the Chinese mainland and Singapore to 70.

The company has added the fourth daily flights between Beijing and Singapore to meet growing demand for traveling, especially during the booming tourist "golden holidays" of New Year and Chinese Spring Festival.

The newly added flight, SQ807, takes off at 2:15 a.m. from Beijing and arrives in Singapore at 8:55 a.m. the same day. The return, SQ806, leaves Singapore at 7:10 p.m. and lands in Beijing at 1:05 a.m. the next day.

Singapore Airlines also operates four daily flights from Shanghai to Singapore and two from Guangzhou.
