Local authorities in east China's Zhejiang province are calling on the worldwide graphic design community to submit logo designs for the West Lake, which is a newly-listed World Heritage Site.
Located in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, the West Lake is a tourist attraction renowned for its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural connotations. It was added to UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list on June 24.
Starting Monday, logo submissions will be accepted for about a month. The organizers will unveil the ten finalists on December 18, and the final result will be announced at the end of December, according to the management committee of the scenic spot.
The organizers will open a special column on the West Lake's official website to introduce the landscape as well as release information regarding submitting logo designs. Designers can submit their designs via email or post.
