China's Online Travel Sales Hit CNY6.16 Billion in 2010
updated: 2011-01-20
According to a latest report by consulting firm iResearch, China's online travel reservation market rose 58.4% year on year to CNY6.16 billion in 2010.
The results showed there are three main reasons for the growth: first, the continuing economic recovery; secondly, the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games helped boost the domestic travel demand; thirdly, major online reservation service providers have launched various promotions to boost sales.
The report also showed that China's online travel reservation market will continue to grow rapidly over the next four years.
