Air China Announces Three New Routes
updated: 2010-11-04
Air China, China's flag carrier, has launched three new routes on October 31, 2010.
The carrier said that two new destinations will be added to flights from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in south west China. The Chengdu to Jinan and Chengdu to Changzhou routes will be operated on a daily basis.
The launch of the two new routes is part of the carrier's efforts to expand the aviation market in country's southwest area. In addition, the carrier aims to turn Chengdu into its second aviation hub, after Beijing.
The Wuhan to Xiamen route was also launched on October 31. Flight CA8227/8 will be operated on a daily basis. The flight leaves Wuhan at 08:00 and arrives in Xiamen at 09:20. The return flight leaves Xiamen at 10:20 and arrives in Wuhan at 11:45.
Air China is a state-owned carrier and is China's second-largest commercial airline after China Southern Airlines.
