As people nowadays are living a busy and fast life, facing great stress from time to time, Lijiang no wonder now enjoys great popularity among visitors. And here is something leisurely you can try in your trip to Lijiang. Staying in this city can slow down your pace of life, purify your heart and dispel your worries.

Travelling to Shangrila is like travelling into a postcard, it is beautiful and inspiring in a way a big city could never be. The air is so clean and so strikingly blue and the people are remarkably friendly in a way that is refreshingly genuine and contrasts sharply to Lijiang.
As a beautiful city full of tourists; the old Lijiang city is certainly a beautiful sight, particularly of an evening the Black Dragon Palace, the Snow Mountain and the Mu Castle are the pick of the sights. We travelled from Dali to Lijiang by bus and it proved to be a beautiful and amazing journey higher up into the plateaus of northern Yunnan, the amazing twists and turns revealed the landscape as well as a large Chinese army base! My brother and father had an interesting toilet experience which left them nothing short of revolted; I revealed that I had seen worse but that served little to comfort them. Many of the toilets on the road from Dali to Lijiang are pay per use, which guarantee at least a basic level of hygiene. ...

Dali was once a kingdom, home to some 22 kings; today it is home to the Chinese ethnic minority known as the Bai People who can be distinguished by their brightly coloured clothing and their bright culture which includes lots of singing and dancing. ...
Kunming is a lovely and temperate city, and by south-west Chinese standards it is very developed. It reminded me a lot of Xi'an; a mid to high-level Chinese city with unique characteristics. Kunming is pleasant place to stay, attracting many people as Xishuangbanna and Lijiang. In short Kunming is the most convenient place to fly to and acclimatise to the thinner air of Yunnan. ...
Entering June, it's possible to imagine a deep blue sky and plateaus covered in tall grass blowing in the wind, this is one of the most special and most untouched parts of China. One wishes that they could awake amongst the grand and looming mountains amidst a field of lush grass next to a river. Let's go to the beautiful western China! ...
