Entering June, it's possible to imagine a deep blue sky and plateaus covered in tall grass blowing in the wind, this is one of the most special and most untouched parts of China. One wishes that they could awake amongst the grand and looming mountains amidst a field of lush grass next to a river. Let's go to the beautiful western China!

With three days holiday I needed something do, so harnessing my adventurous spirit I decided to visit one of the twelve counties that surround Guilin. Guilin is such a perfect base for extended travel purely due to the fact that there are so many amazing locations to visit within relatively close proximity, all of which have amazing scenery and unique characteristics, it offers visitors to Guilin to experience a new town every day. Upon arriving at the bus-station it was clear that a combination of heavy rain and bus departure times that the most convenient destination would be the Northern county of Xing An.

 Whenever we go traveling overseas, we always want to take a little piece of that country home, something that goes beyond the two-dimensions of a photograph. You may just be looking something to give your close friend of relative, or perhaps something a bit more extravagant for ourselves. Irrespective of your goal or expectation, it pays to take care especially in Asia when bargain-hunting.

Some staff from VisitOurChina paid a visit to Yangshuo with two international students of Guangxi Normal University last week. And we were extremely attracted by the beautiful sceneries by the riverbank and in the countryside of Yangshuo. A different experience and impression of Yangshuo, I must say.

5. Spice Spirit (麻辣诱惑)

For those of you with a more adventurous spirit and a love of all things spicy, this could very well be the place for you. This hot pot franchise has become well renowned for its beautifully decorated restaurants and its mouth-watering cuisine. The menu is full of authentic Chinese dishes that suit almost every palate; however it's hard to go past their specialty hot pots which range from mild to extra fiery. While you may leave with a full stomach,  don't expect your wallet to be as heavy as when you walked in, prices range from 50-150yuan (US$10-30) for a small group.

For those of us on a shoestring budget, cabbing it from one side of the city to the other on a daily basis isn't always doable. That's why it pays to spend a little bit of time to figure out the largely excellent mass-transport networks found in almost all cities in China. Chinese public-transport works on the idea of moving a lot of people very quickly, so don't expect to find the cushioned-seat, air-conditioned buses and trains your used to at home, indeed most buses and trains have few seats and limited air-conditioning, but that is not to say that they're not useful.

My hometown is a small city of Fujian province which is located in the borderline of Fujian and Zhejiang Province, this geographical advantage enables me to have the opportunity to reach my dreamful place- Wuzhen Water Town very easily. We just spent 4 hours taking a high speed railway to Hangzhou, and then took a bus transfer to Wuzhen which cost about 2 hours.
