Day by Day Itinerary

  • Day 1 Mt. Wuyishan

    Transfer via: Flight on your own arrangement

    When you arrive at Mt. Wuyishan airport, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer to hotel. Free at leisure the rest of the day.


  • Day 2 Mt. Wuyishan (B, L)

    Sightseeing:  Full day for Mt. Wuyishan sightseeing

    Today we will visit the Nine Bend Stream, Wuyi Palace and the Tian You Scenic Area.

    The Nine Bend Stream valley covers 8.5 sq km, with a total length of 9.5km. It takes two hours to tour the valley. The stream water is so clear that you can see the stones at the bottom. The clear stream forms a delightful contrast with the red mountains, with each bend having its own unique landscape. On both sides of the Nine Bend Stream stand grotesque rocks. Along the winding stream, there are both shoals and deep pools. Visitors may enjoy themselves in the Wuyishan Scenic Area by taking a boat tour, appreciating the mountains in the distance and visiting caves. Floating on a bamboo raft along the stream, you may raise your head to appreciate the towering mountains, and lower it to listen to the flowing water, and touch it with your hands.

    The Wuyi Palace-King Peak Scenic Area, The Wuyi Palace-King Peak Scenic Area has an area of 3.5 sq km, including the following tourist attractions: Wuyi Palace, King Peak, Manting Peak, Sangu Rock, Three Purity Hall, Zhu Xi's Memorial Hall, Wanchun Garden and Song Dynasty Street. The place in front of the Wuyi Palace and near the outlet of the Nine Bend Stream is where emperors used to offer sacrifices to Lord Wuyi. The Wuyi Palace is one of the six famous Taoist temples in China. Some ancient scholars, such as Xin Qiji, Lu You and Zhu Xi, once served as supervisors here.
    The King Peak towers like a huge pillar supporting Heaven. The peak is surrounded by sheer precipices and overhanging rocks. There is only one path, from the south, leading to the top of the peak.

    The Heaven Hearts-Tianyou Scenic Area. With an area of 4.5 sq km, this scenic spot includes Nine Dragon Cave, Red Robe Tea Tree and Tianxin Yongle Buddhist Temple. It is a place sacred to Buddhism.
    The Red Robe Tea Tree, known as the "King of Tea Trees", stands at the foot of Nine Dragon Rock, There is water dripping down all the year round from a long and narrow crack in the rocks on both sides of the tree. The adequate sunshine and small temperature changes year round enable the tree to produce high quality tea with a unique flavor.


  • Day 3 Mt. Wuyishan / Yingtan (B, L)

    Transfer to Yingtan, visit Mt. Longhushan, and visit the famous Heavenly Master Taoist Temple, and Luxi Scenic Area. Sixteen kilometers away from Yingtan City to the southwest, Longhu Mountain Resort is a nationally famous scenic spot known as a Mountain of Deity and Earthy Paradise, which covers around 200 km2 with semitropical humid monsoon climate and an annual mean temperature of 18.1 ℃ . The main scenic spots include Shangqing Palace, Yingtian Mountain, Mazu Cliff, Hongwu Lake, Fairy Water Cliff, and Longhu Maintain. The Taoism culture experiencing a very long history, beautiful and unique green hills with wandering streams and springs among them, and the mysterious cliff tombs that can not be explained by modern science are the three most amazing and attractive points among the natural and cultural sceneries in the Resort. Taoism of China originated in this place, Longhu Mountain.


  • Day 4 Yingtan / Jingdezhen (B, L)

    Sightseeing: Procelain Museum, Fuliang Ancient City

    After breakfasts, you will be transferred to Jingdezhen, visit the famous porcelain city, including Porcelain Museum and Fuliang Ancient City.


  • Day 5 Jingdezhen / Jiujiang (B, L)

    Sightseeing: Stone Bell Hill

    Today you will be transferred to Jiujiang, on the way to visit Stone Bell Hill. Stone Bell Hill (Shizhong Shan) is located in Shuangzhong Town, Jiujiang City in Jiangxi Province. On the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Lake poyanghu, the hill is surrounded by water on three sides and is joined to the mainland on the fourth. This hill comprises two parts, the Upper Stone Bell Hill, facing the Lake poyanghu on its southern side and the Lower Stone Bell Hill, facing the Yangtze River on its northern side.


  • Day 6 Jiujiang (B, L)

    Sightseeing: Water and Mist Pavilion, Xunyang Pavilion, Yangtze River Bridge, Loquat Pavilion

    After breakfast, we will fist visit the Water and Mist Pavilion, Standing on a 1,400 square meter isle in Lake Gantang, Yanshui Pavilion is located in the center of Jiujiang City. Though called a pavilion, it is a series of structures connected by corridors and small paths. Beautiful names have been given to the various buildings, such as the Chuanting Hall, the Cuichaoxian Pavilion, the Jingbo Tower, and the Jinyue (Moon-Reflection) Pavilion.

    Then we will see the Xunyang Pavilion, also named Xunyang Lou, it is located near the Xunyang River northeast of Jiujiang. It is a simple and graceful ancient pavilion with carved beam and painted rafter.

    Built in flourishing Tang Dynasty, the Xunyang Pavilion was a restaurant originally. It was repaired and rebuilt in Song Dynasty, now the pavilion people can see was rebuilt in 1986.

    We also will see Yangtze River Bridge, and Loquat Pavilion.

    Then we drive to Mt. Lushan.


  • Day 7 Full Day for Mt. Lushan Sightseeing (B, L)

    Sightseeing: Full day Mt. Lushan sightseeing

    Today you will have a full day to visit Mt. Lushan. This Mountain is located in the northern part of Jiangxi Province, to the south of the Yangtze River and northwest of Poyang Lake. The picturesque Mountain is well known in China. The scenic area, covering 302 square km, houses 16 natural wonders, 474 scenic spots and 171 peaks.

    The scenery in the Lushan scenic area is breathtaking. It is full of sheer peaks and precipices, changeable clouds and fogs, silver springs and flying waterfalls. The flora is diverse and comprises about 3,000 species. Features of glaciations during the Quaternary Period make Mt. Lushan even more mysterious. There are millions of migratory birds in the Poyang Lake area. The dancing of the largest number of cranes over the water makes it a world wonder.

    Lushan abounds in historic and cultural relics. The great historian of the Han Dynasty, Sima Guang, climbed Mt. Lushan, and wrote about it in his classic The Historical Records. Bailudongshuyuan (White Deer Cave Academy) was the most famous of the four biggest academies in ancient China, and enjoys high prestige in the Chinese history of education.

    Donglin Temple (East Grove Temple), built by eminent monks in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was the birthplace of the Jintu (Pure Earth) sect of Buddhism. More than 1,500 noted figures in history visited this Mountain, leaving behind some 4,000 pieces of verse and over 900 inscriptions on the cliffs, as well as other writings, prints and calligraphic works. There are about 600 villas here, with the styles of 18 nations and cultures.


  • Day 8 Jiujiang / Nanchang (B, L)

    Sightseeing: Tengwangge Pavilion, August 1st Nanchang Uprising Museum

    Transfer to Nanchang in the early morning. First we will visit to Tengwang Pavilion, rising high above the bank of the Ganjiang River, the Tengwang Tower was first built in 659AD by the then prefectural governor of Hongzhou (present day Nanchang) Li Yuanming, or Tengwang. Poems written by Tang dynasty (618-907AD) poet Wang Bo have made the tower famous. The tower was rebuilt and repaired 28 times and in 1989 it was renovated in the Song style. This granite structure is 9 storeys high and houses numerous gift shops, a tea house, exhibition halls and a natural history museum.

    This afternoon, we will continue to visit the August 1st Uprising Museum, it was built on the site of the Nanchang Uprising Headquarters, a gray five-story building blending both Western and Chinese architectural styles. The headquarters of the New Fourth Army and the residences of Zhou Enlai and Zhu De during the Nanchang Uprising are also in Nanchang. This building used to be a local hotel, but as they used it as the headquarters of the revolutionary army at the time of uprising in arms in 1927, it has been kept as a memorial hall to the revolution with a lot of objects of historical and cultural importance on display.


  • Day 9 Nanchang Departure (B)
