The first courtyard:


The Great Mosque

The structure has a remarkable array of murals throughout, forty pieces in all that illustrate the day to day life at the Tang court. Symbols of the Prince, the Black Dragon and White Tiger are featured and the mural of the "parade of the Crown Prince" is of great historical interest as this 2.8 meter (9.10 feet) high picture shows the towers, city walls and other important buildings of the ancient capital city. You can see the guard of honor riding in chariots, on horseback as well as on foot as they prepare to march out from Chang'an in a colorful royal procession.

The second courtyard:


The Great Mosque

Entering the second courtyard, you can see a stone arch with two steles on both sides standing in the center. On the steles are famous calligraphies from prominent ancient calligraphers-Mi Fu of Song Dynasty and Dong Qichang of Ming Dynasty. There are 3 doors, with words engraved in the center lintel and the two side lintels. Walking 10 miles towards the west, there are 2 monuments edged “Towering carving dragon”, one in the north and another in the south. In the west, there is a Chici Palace with 7 stone monuments inscribed Arabic, Persian and Chinese.

The third courtyard:


The Great Mosque

In the center of the third courtyard, there stands Shengxin Building. It is a two-storey ancient building with triple eaves and eight-square roof. Beside it, there is a preaching hall storing The Koran of Qing Dynasty and Map of Mekka.

The fourth courtyard:


The Great Mosque

A Phoenix Pavilion is located in the center of this yard, with the shape of a bird with spreading wings. Behind it ,there is the Prayer Hall, the central building of the mosque. Covering an area of about 1300 square meters, it can house over thousands people at a time. Inside the hall, there are more than 400 paintings with various Arabic design. With unique Beautiful sceneries, long-standing ancient stone buildings and dimming pavilions have came across ancient Tang Dynasty and are walking towards you ,
