Wuhan is the political, economic and cultural center of Hubei Province, it is also one of the six largest key cities in China. The Yangtze River and its largest tributary Han River go through the city and divide it into three parts, Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang. Wuhan is the most significant industrial city and economic center in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River.
