Leshan
Food
Sichuan food is SPICY and very very hot. Between Leshan docks and the Jiazhou hotel are some good places to sample local specialties.
There are a few family style restaurants around here serving tasty Sichuan style food. Especially popular with travelers is Yang's Restaurant on Baita Jie. This is a very friendly place with a good menu (in English). The owner (Mr. Yang) sometimes offers tours of Leshan and the surrounding villages which receive rave reviews!
Most of the hotels in Leshan have reasonable restaurants which do a fairly good trade. It is difficult to recommend any one of these individually. The best bet is probably to opt for one which is busy- preferably with locals!
