Guilin Transportation

Air
Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is located 30kilometers outside of the city, having more than 60 airplane routes to domestic destinations and destinations outside of China. There are flights to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia. Frequent shuttle-buses depart from the airport to the train-station, taxis are also available.

Railway
Guilin is a major rail hub, there are daily services to both Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xi'an with inter-provincial services also available; with few services originating in Guilin it is difficult to procure sleeper berths, therefore it is necessary to book early, Guilin has two train station with the main station (Guilin Zhan) located near the city center.

Bus
Guilin has one central bus terminal located on the city's main road Zhongshan Road buses frequently depart to main tourist attractions surrounding Guilin including Yangshuo and Longsheng as well as other services reaching around southern China including frequent services to Guangzhou and Shenzhen. For express services to Yangshuo buses depart from the train station.

Boat
Boat transportation requires transportation to Xingping Wharf, daily boat services run up the Li River.

Public transport
Guilin has a developed public transport network, double-decker buses service the main road in and around  the downtown area and offer visitors a great way to experience the city from a different angle. Taxis and motorbikes are also available for citywide transportation.
