Changsha Transportation

By plane:
The Changsha Huanghua Airport is 17km east of the city. There are direct flights to more than 40 cities within and outside China, including regular services to Beijing (2hrs), Shanghai (1.5hrs), Guangzhou (1hr), Shenzhen (1hr), Hong Kong (1hr) and even weekly flights to Bangkok.

By train:
The railway station is conveniently central at the eastern end of Wuyi donglu. Changsha is located on the Beijing-Guangzhou railway line, with two express trains daily in each direction, as well as a daily train to Shanghai.

By bus:
There are three long distance bus stations in Changsha, but all are several kilometers out of the town. You can reach all the bus stations from the railway station by both public bus and minibus. All the stations are open from 6am to 9pm. The East Station has buses to the north and east of China, the West Station to the West of China, and the South Station for buses to the south.

By boat:
There are boats to some cities along the Yangzi River as well as Shanghai, Nanjing and Lianyungang.
City transportation:
Though Changsha city is large and spread out, it has comprehensive bus services, which cover almost all the sights as well as the train station and long distance bus stations.
