Suggestions for visitors about the weather of Beijing:
The best period/season to visit Beijing is probably at autumn. The summer (June to August) is considered to be a high season, when the hotels prices are extremely high and the Great Wall is almost getting ruined because of the huge number of tourists. In autumn (September to November) Beijing has the best climate and fewer tourists. The spring is less agreeable as there are not to many tourists and the city is full of a lot of wind and the flying sand in the air (the wind is from northwest of the plateau of Mongolia). In winter, remember that your travel is just like a tour in a complete icy world however many hotels offer substantial discounts.
Clothes for traveling to Beijing:
In spring and autumn, denim trousers and a sweater is enough. In the hottest months, vests or shorts are the best equipment for your tour. In the coldest months, it is suggested to put on cap: thick sweater, underwear and denim trousers with shirt and jacket inside. With less than 100 yuanes / RMB 100, you can buy a warm coat at the local market. Rain coat/umbrella is necessary, specially during the summer.
Other Suggestions:
Take an umbrella with you in case there will be unexpected rains, especially in summer. Sunglasses and sunscreen cream are recommended in the summer.
