Hohhot
Upon your arrival in Hohhot, you will be picked up at the airport and then escorted to your hotel for check-in. Be free at leisure for the rest of the day.

2
Hohhot / Xilamuren Grassland (B, L, D)
In the morning drive for about 1.5 hour to the Xilamuren Grassland. At lunch time enjoy the local food with one of the local cuisines — stewed mutton.
In the afternoon, watch the local tumbling and horse racing show; promenade on the endless grassland on horseback; visit a local Mongolian family and have a taste of the local dairy products; go to worship Aobao, which are heaps of stones treated as wishing stones by the local .
At supper, attend toasting ceremony, which is the highest etiquette of the Mongolian people. Appreciate the local ethnic songs and dances performance; then be free to enjoy the twinkling stars studded on the sky.
Stay overnight in Mongolian yurts.

3
Hohhot / Yinken Resonant Sand Gorge / Erdos (B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive for about 3 hours to the Yinken Resonant Sand Gorge in Kubuqi Desert, one of the three famous resonant sands in China. On the way enjoy the beautiful scenes along the Yellow River, which is China's mother river as the Yangtze River does, and Daqi Generating Plant, the largest fuel electric plant in Asia.
Upon arrival, enjoy the desert buffet. Then you can take your time to experience the following desert activities at your own expense: Erdos Wedding Show (RMB 120), sand-sliding (RMB 15), desert-surfing driving (RMB 60), roaming the desert by camel (RMB 40 for half an hour, RMB 65 for 1 hour), desert motorcycling (RMB 60), etc.
After the wonderful time in the desert, drive for around 1 hour to the city of Erdos.

Erdos / Genghis Khan Mausoleum / Hohhot (B, L, D)
Leave for the Genghis Khan Mausoleum in the morning. After about 1 hour's drive, arrive and visit the mausoleum, the main structure of which is made up of three connecting palaces in Mongolian yurt style. In the main hall is a 5-meter-high statue of Genghis Khan; on the walls are frescos on different themes about this ancient emperor, including his birth, misfortunes, conquering west and east, unifying the Mongolian tribes. Then continue to visit the Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area, which is known as "the largest site of showing Mongolian custom in China". During lunch time, you can enjoy the large show "Eternal Genghis Khan" at your own expense if you like(RMB 120/per person).
Drive back to Hohhot (it takes about 4.5 hours) and check into your hotel.

5
Hohhot / Departure (B, L)
Visit the Inner Mongolia Museum after breakfast and then visit the Dazhao Temple, which is a Tibetan lamasery. Inside the temple there is silver statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, so the temple is also called Silver Buddha Temple. Then tour the Zhaojun Tomb, which was also called Green Mausoleum in history (Note: Zhaojun, a beauty of Han Dynasty, is famous for her contribution to the solidarity between Mongolian people and Han people in ancient China).
After that, the tour ends and you will be transferred to the airport for your departure fight.
